Terms and Conditions for 845 Move Now LLC

Welcome to 845 Move Now LLC! By using our services, you (“the Shipper”) agree to the following Terms and Conditions. These terms are legally binding, so please read them carefully.

1. Services Offered

845 Move Now LLC provides local moving services, including:

• Residential and commercial moving.
• Packing and unpacking services.
• Loading and unloading services.
• Storage services (as agreed upon).

Specific services and costs will be outlined in the estimate provided to you.

2. Charges and Payment

Hourly Moves

• Hourly rates are calculated from the time our crew arrives at the pickup location until the move is completed at the destination.
• Time is rounded to the nearest quarter-hour.
• Rates are subject to change based on market conditions, peak periods, or specific job requirements.

Minimum Charges

• For jobs outside the standard hourly moving scope, a minimum charge may apply.
• The minimum charge will vary depending on your location, the type of move, and specific service needs.

Travel Time

• Travel time is a flat fee calculated based on the distance between our warehouse, the pickup location, and the destination.
• A minimum of 1 hour travel time applies to all moves.

Payment Terms

• Payment in full is required upon completion of services.
• Accepted payment methods include cash, certified check, and major credit cards.
• A deposit may be required to secure your move date. Deposits are refundable only if cancellation occurs at least 7 days prior to the move.

3. Packing and Materials

• The Shipper is responsible for packing all items unless packing services are purchased.
• Proper packing materials, such as sturdy boxes and packing tape, are required to ensure safe transport.
• 845 Move Now LLC is not liable for damages to items packed by the Shipper.

4. Bulky and Specialty Items

• Items such as pianos, safes, or other specialty items may require additional charges or special handling.
• It is the Shipper’s responsibility to disclose all bulky or fragile items prior to the move.

5. Liability and Valuation

Basic Liability Coverage

• Basic coverage is included at no additional cost, providing $0.30 per pound per item for local moves.
• This coverage is minimal and does not reflect the full value of your items.

Full Value Protection

• Full Value Protection is available for an additional fee and must be arranged before the move.
• Contact our office for details on third-party insurance options.

Exclusions from Liability

845 Move Now LLC is not liable for the following:

• Damage to particleboard or pressboard furniture.
• Electronics not properly packed by the Shipper.
• Fragile items such as glass, mirrors, or artwork unless packed by our team.
• Items of extraordinary value (e.g., jewelry, cash, collectibles) unless disclosed and agreed upon in writing.
• Pre-existing damage, wear and tear, or inherent vice of items.
• Weather-related or Acts of God damage.

6. Shipper Responsibilities

• The Shipper must ensure all items are packed, organized, and ready for transport before the crew’s arrival unless packing services are included.
• The Shipper must perform a walkthrough of the origin and destination to ensure all items are accounted for.
• Hazardous materials, flammable items, or perishable goods cannot be transported.

7. Cancellations and Rescheduling

• Moves canceled at least 7 days prior to the scheduled date will receive a full deposit refund.
• Moves canceled within 72 hours of the scheduled date are subject to a $150 cancellation fee.
• Same-day cancellations are charged 4 hours of labor at the applicable hourly rate.

8. Delays and Scheduling

• Morning moves have fixed start times; afternoon moves have flexible arrival windows.
• Afternoon and evening moves may be delayed depending on the completion time of prior moves.
• Delays caused by traffic, weather, or unforeseen circumstances are not the responsibility of 845 Move Now LLC.

9. Storage Services

• Short-term storage is available upon request. Rates and terms will be specified in your agreement.
• The Shipper must notify us in advance to arrange for storage services.

10. Damage Claims

• All damage claims must be submitted in writing within 10 days of the move.
• Claims will be processed based on the selected liability coverage.
• Items not listed on the inventory or improperly packed are excluded from claims.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

• Any disputes arising from this agreement will be resolved through arbitration in accordance with the laws of the state in which the move originated.
