How does your pay-by-the-minute pricing work?
Your clock starts when our crew arrives and stops when the last item is placed. We bill in 15-minute increments—no rounding up to the next hour, no 3-hour minimums like other companies. You only pay for the actual time your move takes.
What areas do you serve for local moving?
We serve the entire Hudson Valley including New Paltz, Kingston, Poughkeepsie, Newburgh, Beacon, Rhinebeck, Saugerties, Woodstock, Highland, Fishkill, Wappingers Falls, and all surrounding areas in Ulster, Dutchess, and Orange counties.
Do you offer same-day or last-minute moving?
Yes! We offer same-day and next-day moving services based on availability. Whether your lease is up tomorrow or plans changed suddenly, call us and we'll do everything we can to get a crew to you fast.
What does the $49 deposit cover?
The $49 deposit locks in your crew, truck, and move date. It's applied directly to your final bill—not an extra fee. It's fully refundable up to 7 days before your scheduled move if plans change.
What's included in the hourly rate?
Everything. Our rate includes the truck, fuel, all moving equipment (dollies, straps, tools), furniture blankets, shrink wrap, and free TV and mattress protection. No stair fees, no long-carry fees, no extra charges for tools or equipment.
Do you use your own employees or day labor?
We never outsource. Every mover on your job is a trained 845 Move Now employee—not temp workers or day labor. Our crews wear uniforms, arrive on time, and know how to handle your belongings with care.
Can you move my piano, antiques, or fragile items?
Absolutely. We specialize in moving delicate and oversized items including pianos, antiques, artwork, and fragile furniture. We use proper padding, custom wrapping, and specialized equipment to ensure everything arrives safely.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes! We're fully licensed and insured (USDOT: 4268996, NYDOT: 42695). Basic valuation coverage is included with every move, and we offer additional full-value protection options for complete peace of mind.
Do you offer packing services?
Yes! We offer full packing, partial packing (just the kitchen or fragile items), and even unpacking at your new place. Hate dealing with boxes? Let us handle it all with our full-service option.
Can you match a competitor's price?
Yes! With our Price Match Guarantee, if you find a better rate for the same services from a licensed, insured mover, we'll match it or beat it. Just show us the written quote.
Do you move apartments with stairs or elevators?
Yes, and there are no extra stair fees or elevator fees. Whether you're on the 3rd floor walk-up or using a building elevator, the rate stays the same. We include everything in our quote.
How do I prepare for moving day?
We recommend having boxes packed and labeled, clearing pathways, and setting aside items you'll transport yourself (medications, valuables, important documents). We'll send you a detailed checklist after booking.
